We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a trustworthy tradesperson for our renovation project. We registered and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.
It's clear to us that Checkatrade prioritizes their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you believe Checkatrade. Their whole setup is designed to rip you off. They promise the world but they a load of rubbish. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will lift a finger.
It all starts with their sneaky costs, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to get your money back, but it's like pulling teeth.
So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your time.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?
We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
First, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling frustrated and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I hired a trader through their platform to complete some essential home repairs. They seemed legitimate at first, but it resulted in a appalling ordeal.
Even though I transferred the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Getting a response ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.
The platform itself has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been robbed.
